About Jessie Timmons, LCSW
In practice in the Philadelphia area since 2008, I work with individuals who want to create change in their lives. As a licensed clinical social worker, I approach work with my clients with a commitment to each individual's right to form their own goals and a recognition of the importance of our relationship in the process. We will join together in creating a safe space in which you can define and begin to work toward your goals. I am highly committed to helping you to achieve personal growth and a greater sense of peace and harmony in your life.
I have expertise in working with individuals and/or family members of individuals who are seeking help with substance use, LGBTQ-related concerns including gender transition, anxiety and depression and living with HIV/AIDS. I also have experience working with other helping professionals, such as social workers and therapists. I welcome phone consultations, during which you and I can decide whether my services would be a good fit for you.
My professional experience includes work in private practice as well as in community mental health at Mazzoni Center, PATH, Inc., and Therapy Center of Philadelphia, and hospital based social work at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Albert Einstein Medical Center. Currently, I am a full-time faculty member at Temple University's School of Social Work and the President of the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work (pscsw.org).
